About the role

Project Leadership & Management:

  • Lead and manage end-to-end IT migration and transformation projects, from initiation to closure.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  • Oversee the execution of multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Track project milestones and deliverables, ensuring they meet business goals and technical requirements.
  • Provide mentorship to junior project managers and team members, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Engage with senior leadership, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to gather project requirements and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Communicate project progress, challenges, and risks to key stakeholders, providing clear and concise updates.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to facilitate smooth migrations and transformations.

Risk & Issue Management:

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to migration and transformation processes.
  • Resolve issues proactively to prevent project delays, ensuring business continuity throughout the migration process.
  • Maintain and update project risk registers, escalating issues as needed to senior management.

Vendor Management:

  • Lead vendor negotiations and manage relationships with third-party service providers involved in migration and transformation projects.
  • Ensure vendors deliver as per agreed timelines, scope, and service-level agreements (SLAs).

Budget & Resource Management:

  • Define project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure project spending is within approved limits.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure resource availability and alignment with project timelines.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Promote the adoption of best practices in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
  • Lead post-project reviews and lessons learned sessions to continuously refine processes and improve future project delivery.

About you

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in IT project management, with at least 5 years in leading large-scale IT migrations or transformation projects.
  • Proven experience in managing cross-functional teams, budgets, and complex projects.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Deep understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, cloud technologies, data migration, and transformation processes.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid) and relevant project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, etc.).
  • Expertise in risk management, change management, and problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines under pressure.

Certifications:

  • PMP (Project Management Professional), PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner), or similar certifications preferred.
  • ITIL or similar IT service management certifications a plus.
