Mission

As part of the development of our industrial cloud computing offerings, we are looking for a support engineer and devops within the ESOT (Engineering Systems & Ops Tooling) OneMS (Managed Services) department with the mission to support engineering activities (Support L3, Release management) on the middleware domains and applications managed under Linux and/or Windows distributions and the various Cloud services, sold through our Managed Application offer. 

As a OneMS Support & Devops Engineer, in relation with the ESOT manager and the operational teams, you will have a technical and functional role around practices Devops (Jira, Ansible, Gitlab, terraform), containers and Cloud, monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana) adaptable to your expectations, missions and activities which will consist of:

• Support operational teams in their needs to ensure optimal quality of service, you accompany occasionally pre-sales, answer questions of expertise,
• Ensure technological coordination of stakeholders on escalations in customer support,
• Participate in projects, and organize your workload according to different priorities,
• Manage the obsolescence of application versions and middlewares,
• Contribute to the improvement of existing tooling (Devops, Monitoring, Updates, Security) 
• Organize and participate in the developments carried out (Ansible, Monitoring, Scripting) in the spirit of devops and continuous integration, and contribute to the industrialization of deployments via CI/CD chains.
• Work on the security and compliance of customers on different platforms,
• Exchange with the community of technological referents on issues encountered and common topics.
• Potential On-Call 24/7

Desired skills/knowledge

• Operating Systems: Strong understanding of Linux fundamentals and command-line operations is crucial as Linux is the dominant OS in server environments. Familiarity with Windows Server is also beneficial in some organizations.
• Scripting and Programming: Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation of tasks and infrastructure management. Knowledge of programming languages like Java or Go can also be advantageous.
• Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with major cloud providers such as VMWare, FE, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is essential. This includes skills in provisioning services, configuring networking and security, and utilizing cloud-native tools.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Expertise in IaC tools like Terraform and AWS CloudFormation to manage and provision infrastructure through code, ensuring consistency and scalability.
• Configuration Management: Knowledge of configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet to automate system configuration and deployment.
• Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD): Understanding and practical experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or Azure DevOps to automate the software build, test, and deployment processes.
• Version Control: Proficiency in using Git and platforms like GitHub or GitLab for code management, collaboration, and version tracking.
• Containerization: Experience with containerization technologies like Docker for packaging applications and their dependencies.
• Orchestration: Knowledge of container orchestration tools, particularly Kubernetes, for automating the deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications.
• Monitoring and Logging: Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, Datadog) and logging systems (e.g., ELK stack) to track system performance, identify issues, and ensure application health.
• Networking: Solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, load balancing, and network security.
• Security: Awareness of security best practices and tools relevant to DevOps (DevSecOps), including vulnerability scanning, security automation, and compliance.
• Database Management: Basic understanding of database systems (SQL and NoSQL) and how they integrate with applications and infrastructure.

Relevant Experience

• Relevant degree in Computer - Information Technology & Telecommunication related with technical 5+ years’ experience.
