The candidate will be responsible of:

• Architecting Solutions: Designing scalable and efficient PHP-based software solutions, choosing appropriate frameworks, libraries, and tools.
• Code Reviews: Ensuring that the code produced by the team follows best practices, coding standards, and is maintainable.
• Setting Standards: Establishing coding guidelines, architectural patterns, and development processes for the team to follow.
• Technical Problem-Solving: Solving complex technical issues and providing guidance on how to approach development challenges.
• Task Prioritization: Breaking down project requirements into manageable tasks and prioritizing them for the development team.
• Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices
• Create site layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS/java-script practices
• Integrate data from various back-end services and databases
• Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs
• Create and maintain software documentation
• Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling the applications
• Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities

• BS in computer science or a related field
• 5 years or more of proven work experience as a Software Engineer or Software Developer
• Fluent in English verbal and written communication
• Fluent in French is a plus
• Execute full software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Excellent knowledge of relational databases, (MySQL is mandatory) 
• Knowledge of at least one of the following programming languages and tools: (Native PHP, Zend framework are mandatory, other languages are a plus).
• Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies
• Experience with infrastructure automation technologies like Docker
• Experience with build automation technologies like Jenkins
• Experience with building APIs and services using REST, SOAP, etc.
• Experience with scripting languages like Perl, Shell, etc.
• A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices
• Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem solving skills
• Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques
