• Capacity Management for Storage/Backup
• Knowledge management (KEDB)
• High Level and Low-Level Design Document preparation capability as part of Solution Consultant / Technical Architect engagements for Storage/Backup setup.
• Documentation and Reporting for Storage/Backup
• Effective handling of User/Technical Escalations
• Ensure Service Delivery as per agreed SLA and Availability
• Troubleshoot High Severity incidents, problem & provide proper RCA for all incidents.
• Root cause analysis and Preventive maintenance
• Participate in Change management, assess Risk and Impact and implementation plan
• Take initiatives in learning, certifications & evaluating new Technology & Tools 
• MIS customer report preparation on technology part
• Work & Drive OEM for the escalated tickets 
• Driving Technical Knowledge Transfers & awareness session on best practices within team
• Supporting Organization operational Goals without penalties.
• Supporting Organization on adhering to ISO process
• Adhere to all the policy and processes defined in client location.

 

Technical Operational Role: Maintain and Manage operation of GSDC and NDR and DR Storages System & Backup solution infrastructure. Need to ensure to deliver services as per defined SLA and device availability.

• BE/Any Graduation in either Electronics/CS/IT
• Rich 10+years of Hands-on experience of managing all storage and Backup infrastructure Administration and Also knowledge on Server Management will be an advantage.
• In depth knowledge of SAN switch, FCIP Router and Backup tools like EMC Networker and Commvault’s. Need hands on experience in Storage devices like Hitachi, EMC VMAX, DELL, HP 3Par, NetApp. Also required DC-DR replication and storage migration experience for product like NetApp, Hitachi and Dell VMAX Storage.
• Regular health checkups of All storage system in SDC.
• Storage space allocation of various SDC and NDR And DR devices and produce analytical report.
• SAN switches health checkup and zone management and FCIP router and Link monitoring.
• Backup of databases, applications, and other various entities like file system or VMs as per stipulated policies at the SDC.
• Monitoring and enhancement of the performance of scheduled backups, schedule regular testing of backups and ensure adherence to related retention policies.
• Ensuring prompt execution of on-demand backups of database, applications whenever required by User Departments or in case of upgrades and configuration changes to the system.
• Prepare Storage inventory of all LUN with host mapping and update regularly.
• Proactively involve and Support other domain on storage related escalation/Issues.
• Backup reports (Daily, Weekly & Monthly) to be sent on agreed schedule to OBS team & client.
• Process Quality Initiated Per Quarter
• Sharing knowledge with cross domains on storage & Backup Solutions. 
• Avoidance of human errors due to negligence and process issues.
• Hand-on experience for object storage implementation and migration of existing application data on object storage.
• Increase collaboration with other domains & promote team work i.e. network, EMS, Security, Non-IT, Server and Cloud etc.
• Excellent Troubleshooting, analyzing & managing the critical Incidents, Problem tickets with out of the box thought process.
• Experience in designing POA for complex Changes for Storage environment.
• Good knowledge in preparing RFO, RCA’s, documentation, Knowledge Bank. 
• Positions will require to work in rotational shifts to support 24 * 7 operations /project assignments.
