About the role

Mission

The main mission of the API Technical Expert is to facilitate the successful implementation and management of API solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and delivering seamless technical support throughout the project lifecycle.

Main activities

• Supporting the client throughout the deployment of the API for Business solution – Build and Run phase. 
• Working in collaboration with the API Delivery Manager and other stakeholders. 
• Participating in project follow-up meetings organized by the API Delivery Manager. 
• Participating in internal and external client qualification meetings. 
• Presenting solution documentation to development teams (Swagger, getting started guides, how-to guides, etc.). 
• Understanding business challenges and proposing solutions aligned with them. 
• Engaging with various business stakeholders based on the requested APIs. 
• Validating products and/or services by providing technical analysis and verification. 
• Performing API Key tests (sandbox and production environments). 
• Validating client tests during the qualification phase (sandbox and production environments). 
• Escalating client requests for technical enhancements to the Management and Organization Department and keeping the client informed. 
• Contributing to the definition and validation of necessary functional improvements, documenting requirements. 
• Being part of and interacting with the support chain. 
• Leading cross-functional internal project teams (Processes, Business, CTIO, Marketing, Customer Advisors, Sales Administration Managers, Customer Service Managers, Production, Digital) in front-line contact with our clients' teams. 
• Ensuring regular reporting of actions and validate the smooth running of projects in their entirety with the internal and/or external client. 
• Using dashboards to monitor activities and client project workloads.

About you

Required Skills:

• Leadership, Project Management, and technical qualities with a preference for cross-functional collaboration. 
• Familiarity with new technologies and agile methodologies. 
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills. 
• Ability to manage complex situations effectively. 
• Convincing ability to ensure compliance with work environment strategies.

• Previous experience working closely with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of additional programming languages and frameworks. 
• Experience with cloud services and infrastructure. 
• Familiarity with API management tools. 
• Previous experience in a client-facing role, particularly in technology or related industries.

Education:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology. 
• Certification in IT is highly preferred. 
• Knowledge of project/time management. 
• Familiarity with Web services and API technologies (REST, XML/JSON, SOAP). 
• Basic understanding of testing and debugging skills is preferred. 
• Knowledge of Agile Methodology. 
• Proficiency in written and spoken communication in both French and English.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 to 3 years of business experience. 
• Experience in roles related to API development, project management, or related technical fields.
