About the role

We are seeking a skilled and Lead Solution Designer - CPQ to join the Digital unit at Orange Business. The role of the Lead Solution Designer – CPQ to take ownership of business analysis activities for the Configure, Price, Quote platform. This role is pivotal in translating business needs into functional solutions that support our sales, pricing, and quoting operations. You will lead requirements gathering, process design, stakeholder engagement, and solution validation efforts to ensure successful CPQ delivery and adoption across the organization.

 

Activities and Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end business analysis for CPQ transformation initiatives, from discovery through implementation, ensuring business goals are translated into scalable solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Product Management, Pricing, Finance, IT) to gather, refine, and prioritize functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Define and govern a centralized Product Catalogue, ensuring accurate representation of products, configurations, pricing, and interdependencies.
  • Develop and manage robust product models that support bundling, pricing logic, eligibility rules, and service offerings.
  • Ensure compliance with TMF standards (e.g., SID, TAM, eTOM) to support standardized product lifecycle and service definitions.
  • Translate complex business needs into well-structured epics, user stories, and functional specifications for development teams.
  • Analyze and continuously improve CPQ and product catalog processes to enhance usability, performance, and scalability.
  • Facilitate workshops, solution design sessions, and architecture reviews to ensure fit-for-purpose CPQ solutions.
  • Define and drive User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test case development, coordination, and defect resolution.
  • Act as a key liaison between business and technical teams to maintain alignment and clarity throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Leverage Agentic AI and Gen AI capabilities to augment business analysis—e.g., intelligent requirement generation, AI-assisted user story creation, and automated documentation reviews.
  • Explore and promote the use of Generative AI for knowledge discovery, impact analysis, and stakeholder communication within CPQ and catalog initiatives.
  • Support change management and training efforts to ensure smooth adoption and operational readiness.
  • Contribute to the CPQ roadmap and catalog governance, incorporating emerging technologies such as AI-driven configuration engines and intelligent pricing models.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and domain expertise to junior BAs and cross-functional teams, fostering innovation and AI literacy.
  • Act as the liaison between business teams and technical delivery teams, ensuring consistent alignment throughout the project lifecycle
  • Support change management and training efforts to drive adoption and readiness
  • Contribute to the CPQ roadmap and product catalogue governance processes
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to junior BAs or cross-functional team members 

About you

 

Technical Expertise

  • Proven experience working on CPQ platforms (e.g., Custom CPQ Tools, Salesforce CPQ, Oracle CPQ, Conga/Apttus, etc.)
  • Deep understanding of Product Catalogue management and Product Modelling in a B2B or telecom environment
  • Familiarity with TMF frameworks and standards (especially SID and eTOM)
  • Strong grasp of Quote-to-Cash processes, commercial modeling, and pricing workflows
  • Solid experience in Agile delivery models with expertise in creating and managing backlogs
  • Excellent problem-solving, facilitation, and stakeholder communication skills
  • Strong documentation skills including process flows, data mappings, and business rules

·       Expertise in creating automated workflows for approvals, discounting rules, and quote generation. 
Ability to implement analytics tools for sales insights and performance tracking within the CPQ system. 
·       Knowledge on LLMs to leverage AI and build Agentic AI solutions
