About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned QA Manager with 14+ years of experience to lead our Quality Assurance function for our high-traffic e-commerce and marketplace platforms. You will drive QA strategy, oversee large-scale testing programs, and champion a culture of quality and continuous improvement across distributed teams. This is a critical role that demands both strong technical expertise and proven experience in team building, stakeholder management, and digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Define and own the end-to-end QA vision, strategy, and roadmap for e-commerce and marketplace solutions.
Partner with business and technology leaders to align QA objectives with organizational goals and product strategy.
Drive adoption of modern testing practices: shift-left, automation-first, and continuous quality.
Stay actively informed on the evolving landscape of AI-driven development and quality engineering tools, ensuring QA practices adapt to emerging risks and opportunities.
People & Team Management
Lead, mentor, and scale a diverse team of QA leads, engineers, and automation specialists (onsite and offshore).
Develop talent through training, performance management, and career planning.
Foster a high-performance, collaborative, and innovative QA culture.
Quality Governance & Delivery
Establish quality gates, KPIs, and robust QA processes across the software lifecycle.
Ensure comprehensive test coverage: functional, integration, regression, UAT, performance, security, and accessibility.
Own defect prevention and root cause analysis—driving improvements to reduce production incidents and improve customer experience.
Test Automation & DevOps Integration
Oversee design and scaling of test automation frameworks (UI, API, mobile, backend).
Ensure seamless integration of automation into CI/CD pipelines for fast, reliable releases.
Evaluate and onboard modern QA tools, frameworks, and platforms.
Evaluate the role of LLMs and autonomous agents in test creation, bug triaging, and risk prediction—while ensuring robust guardrails are in place.
Domain & Solution Expertise
Guide test strategy for all marketplace flows: catalog, search, personalization, cart, checkout, payments, promotions, user and order management, returns/refunds.
Collaborate with architects and developers on testability, data integrity, and performance.
Stakeholder Engagement
Act as the primary QA point-of-contact for product, engineering, business, and external vendors/partners.
Present quality metrics, risk assessments, and release readiness updates to leadership and C-level stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement
Drive process optimization and automation to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort.
Stay current on e-commerce tech trends, regulatory requirements (PCI DSS, GDPR), and QA best practices.
Maintain a forward-looking view on how generative AI and multi-agent systems impact testing scope, risks, and ethics—proactively embedding controls where needed.
