About the role

As a Global SOC We ensure our customers can continuously do their business by proactively securing their environment and providing the highest level of availability. We operate out of 11 different countries providing unrivaled EU sovereign and Global service delivery to our customers. Through our full end to end service consisting of build and service activationdaily run actions and governance we work 24x7 365 days a year ensuring a happy customer. 

Job Description

Mission:

  • The mission of the OCD Tech Lead MSS role is to ensure comprehensive protection of customer environments through expert consultation, strategic alignment of technical services, and effective response to emerging security challenges in line with Orange Cyber defense's vision of creating a safer digital society.

Main activities:

  • Support service owners and product managers by providing technical insights and recommendations within the scope of Managed Security Services.
  • Conduct comprehensive security assessments, audits, and risk analyses to enhance the security of IT systems and infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices aligned with regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee end-to-end delivery of network security projects, ensuring scope, schedule,
  • and quality requirements are met.
  • Plan, execute, and monitor network security initiatives to guarantee timely completion
  • and compliance with specifications.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to network security teams—assigning
  • tasks, fostering collaboration, and driving professional growth.
  • Design and deliver security awareness programs and training to educate employees on
  • threats, best practices, and compliance standards.
  • Engage stakeholders (clients, internal teams, vendors) to gather requirements, define
    objectives, and communicate project status throughout the lifecycle.
  • Monitor and respond proactively to security incidents, vulnerabilities, and new threats.
  • Provide guidance on achieving compliance with applicable regulations (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001), ensuring the organization meets its legal obligations.
  • Deliver training and awareness initiatives to empower staff and stakeholders regarding security best practices.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation tailored for both management and client stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making 
  • Collaborate with IT, legal, and business teams to ensure a holistic approach to security coverage across the organization.
     

Dimensions:

  • Provide input on technical aspects in service collateral and onboarding project plans, aligning them with internal quality and service standards.
  • Collaborate with continual improvement initiatives to integrate feedback and ensure service evolution.
  • Maximize service value by maintaining up-to-date technical documentation, ensuring all teams have access to current guidelines and best practices.
  • Lead evaluations and continuous improvements of security service technical aspects to drive operational excellence.
  • Assist in technical sales support for onboarding and delivery services when required.

 

 

 

 

 

About you

Key Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Professional skills:
  • You have extensive experience working with Vendor Products associated with Managed Security Services to enhance cybersecurity effectiveness.
  • Your background includes substantial time in a Global SOC environment, acting as a SOC Engineer at Level 3, indicating advanced knowledge and expertise.
  • You possess a solid understanding of the service delivery processes pivotal to effective operations in cybersecurity.
  • Your technical expertise encompasses strong knowledge of security technologies like firewalls, Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions.
  • You have the technical acumen to define and meet service level agreements, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
  • Soft skills:
  • You demonstrate experience in risk management and a thorough understanding of relevant security frameworks, enhancing your effectiveness in this role.
  • Your analytical skills allow you to thoroughly assess complex security situations and arrive at data-driven solutions.
  • Exceptional communication skills enable you to articulate security concepts clearly to diverse audiences within the organization.
  • You exhibit a proactive approach to problem-solving, showcasing your ability to work both independently and collaboratively within teams

 

Qualifications (work experience, education background, certifications, etc):

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, ensuring a foundational understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
  • Experience:
  • A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in network security and cybersecurity, providing a robust basis for tackling complex security challenges.
  • Certifications:
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, and CEH are highly desirable, indicating advanced understanding and commitment to ongoing professional development in cybersecurity.
