About the role

The Head of Security is the leader of Security Operations team located in Brazil MSC, which is a part of global security operations under the Cyber Support Unit (dedicated to OCD related activities). 

The Security Operations team at BRAZIL are L1, L2 and L3 level engineers, in dedicated or shared SOC/CSOC, who installs and maintains the security equipment’s for multiple external global customers in dedicated or shared fashion and is part of services delivered by OBS to OCD global Operations across the globe. As such this role requires high level of matrix management capability, and cooperation with other Operations teams.

The Head of security Brazil will be:

  • managing hierarchically the team in scope: resource and skills management, recruitment, motivation and attrition
  • the Cyber Security domain representative within MSC BRAZIL and reporting to CSU head 
  • Owning operational responsibilities toward OCD related to BRAZIL operations and presales support, tools and processes integration.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Implementation activities (Build):

Plan, lead and execute the security build projects (installation and configuration of security equipment’s) by utilizing local and global technical teams.

Be actively involvement in RFP’s to help OCD Sales/Presales team to expand the business thru BRAZIL capabilities.

Security Operations (Run):

Lead and coordinate the activities of the BRAZIL security operations center (SOC) & CSOC (CyberSOC) and activities handled by Security manager.

Ensure execution of security operations processes, identify and measure critical security operations metrics, and continually improve the efficiency and effectiveness teams in BRAZIL in coordination with OCD entities:

  • Monitor the daily management of managed security services and related systems such as intrusion detection/prevention, vulnerability management, security incident response, and status of customer environments.
  • Manage the identification and response to security incidents, including investigation, response, and resolution.
  • Monitor information security intelligence theaters and keep abreast of events, research, and developments. Ensure a Success story for Cyber SOC.

Manage the OLAs with the other internal organizations (Security) ensuring that they are up to date and adhered to OLA and/ or contribute to Audit and certification processes

Resource Management:

Identify resource requirements to manage the BRAZIL operations by keeping abreast with the latest local and global business information in coordination with OCD needs (thru CSU) in Brazil.

Build and maintain competent resources by efficient hiring, continuous upskilling and improving productivity.

Manage attrition within the target.

Lead Transversal Activities with its team and/or contribute to global initiatives in the security domain (work closely with peer managers in other countries to identify/implement process changes, improvements and efficiencies, and ensure solid security practices)

Participate (and eventually lead, depending candidate profile) in GPS transversal activities in BRAZIL as Security representative in BRAZIL MSC and BRAZIL GPS community.
