Technical Owner
 
Overview
 
At Orange Cyberdefense Egypt, we are building a dedicated team for one of our major worldwide tobacco customers.
We’re looking for a Technical Owner who combines deep technical knowledge with strong leadership and customer engagement skills. This role acts as the technical focal point for the customer, ensuring operational excellence and driving continuous improvement.
 
 
Responsibilities
 
Technical Leadership
Serve as the primary technical point of contact for the customer, ensuring alignment between technical operations and business objectives.
Oversee and guide L1 and L2 engineers in troubleshooting, configuration, and incident resolution.
Validate and approve complex changes, upgrades, and migrations before implementation.
Customer Engagement
Maintain close communication with customer stakeholders, providing regular updates on incidents, changes, and service performance.
Participate in governance meetings and present technical reports, RCA findings, and improvement plans.
Act as a trusted advisor, recommending enhancements to network and security infrastructure.
Operational Excellence
Monitor and ensure adherence to SLAs for incident, change, and problem management.
Drive root cause analysis for major incidents and implement preventive measures.
Coordinate with vendors for advanced troubleshooting, patches, and hardware replacements.
Project & Change Management
Lead technical aspects of infrastructure projects and ensure successful delivery.
Assess risks for proposed changes and ensure compliance with change management processes.
Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing
Mentor team members, promote best practices, and conduct technical workshops.
Contribute to documentation of SOPs, network diagrams, and operational guidelines.
Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities to optimize performance and reliability of network and security systems.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend adoption where applicable.

About you

Education:
 
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
 
Experience:
 
Minimum 6+ years of hands-on experience in network and security engineering.
Proven expertise in:
FortiGate Firewalls ,Manager and Analyzer
F5 Load Balancers
Ivanti Secure Access
Cisco Networking (Switches, Routers, Wireless Controllers, Meraki) and Fortigate SD-WAN are a plus
 
Skills:
 
Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills for customer-facing interactions.
Ability to lead technical discussions and manage escalations effectively.
Strong ownership, accountability, and decision-making capabilities.
Fluent in English (writing and speaking).
 
Certifications (Highly Desirable):
 
CCNP or higher (CCIE preferred)
F5 LTM
Fortinet NSE 7 or above
Additional certifications such as ITIL for process management are a plus.
