About the role

As a Jr. Consultant, you will work in a dynamic virtual environment comprising both Linux and Windows systems, managing cloud infrastructure services and server instances. You will collaborate closely with the team to support and enhance PS operations, providing technical assistance on Linux, Windows, and cloud-based systems to resolve operational challenges. While starting as a fresher, you will gain hands-on experience in cloud technologies, developing a foundational understanding of IaaS and PaaS.

 

Your role will involve to configure, implement, and manage systems that form the backbone of cloud platforms. You will assist in setting up public or private cloud systems, ensuring workloads are balanced and deployed efficiently through automation. As part of your responsibilities, you will monitor system performance and make adjustments following best practices and methodologies.

 

You will support cloud deployment and migration tasks, contributing to the design and execution of solutions based on specific requirements. This includes helping select suitable cloud providers while keeping cost-effectiveness and technical needs in mind. Your contributions will focus on expanding, migrating, and onboarding customers to cloud platforms while maintaining high-quality service during operations.

 

This role requires a proactive and self-motivated approach, with a willingness to learn and adapt to complex environments. You will work both independently and collaboratively as part of operational and project teams, developing skills to address customer requirements and support the organization’s cloud initiatives effectively.

 

About you

Missions and main activities

  • Assist in installing and configuring the Cloud Management Application (AWS, Azure).
  • Learn and support discovery processes for cloud resources.
  • Assist in defining catalog items for both VMs and simple offerings.
  • Gain exposure to various virtualization technologies and multi-tenant, private, and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Support the preparation of cloud billing reports using Excel and other BI tools.
  • Learn Python and scripting to assist in automating infrastructure activities.
  • Develop foundational knowledge of server OS and storage technologies, including SAN Storage.
  • Gain basic understanding of Hyper-Converged Infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with team members to contribute to deployment and task automation under guidance.
  • Support architects and developers in debugging problems and implementing solutions.
  • Assist in implementing cloud infrastructure designs provided by architects.
  • Monitor resource usage and provide input for system performance improvements.
  • Learn to compare, evaluate, and recommend new technologies for integration into the computing environment.
  • Support the deployment of private, public, and hybrid cloud models under supervision.

Skills/Experience/Qualification:

  • Strong interest and foundational knowledge in IT infrastructure and cloud technologies.
  • Fresh graduates with full-time BE/BTECH/MCA from a reputed institute are encouraged to apply.
  • Basic understanding of reporting tools like Excel or BI tools.
  • Exposure to Python, scripting languages, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google) is a plus.
  • Knowledge or academic experience with virtualization, Linux/Windows system administration, and databases (MySQL, MongoDB, etc.).
  • Familiarity with DevOps concepts, automation tools, or scripting languages is advantageous.

Education and Certifications:

  • BE/BTECH from a reputed institute (fresh graduates).
  • Cloud-related certifications (Amazon, Azure, Google) are good to have but not mandatory.

Technical Skills (Preferred):

  • Basic understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages.
  • Interest in cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
  • Awareness of virtualization tools and concepts (VMware, Nutanix, etc.).
  • Understanding of containerization concepts (Docker, Kubernetes) is an added advantage.

 

Soft skills:

 

  • Very good verbal and written communication skill using English language
  • Being able to work under pressure
  • Being able to be available 24x7 for production support.
  • Customer Oriented and strong sensitivity to Customer satisfaction
  • Transversal/customer crisis 
  • Good interpersonal, team-build and leadership skills.
  • Proactive, self-motivated and determined attitude
