We are in search of a visionary Senior Specialist Engineer-CPQ who will architect, engineer, and scale next-generation cloud-native, API-first, microservices-driven platforms infused with advanced AI/ML intelligence. This role is not for the ordinary demands a technologist with 8+ years of deep, hands-on expertise across the full stack, someone who has consistently delivered high-performance, hyper-scalable, resilient, and secure systems from the ground up. You will lead the transformation of legacy ecosystems into modern digital powerhouses, co-create breakthrough capabilities, and seamlessly embed state-of-the-art machine learning models into production-grade solutions. Mission

Activities and Responsibilities:

• AI-Native Full-Stack Engineering 

 Lead the E2E architecture and development of intelligent, high-performance applications using Java (Spring Boot: REST APIs, microservices) and Python (FastAPI, PySpark, LangChain), delivering AI-first digital platforms that are secure, scalable, and future-ready.

• Next-Gen Platform Engineering 

Build cloud-native, API-first ecosystems from scratch and drive legacy-to-microservices transformations, creating distributed, event-driven architectures optimized for cloud hyperscale’s (AWS, Azure, GCP).

• AI/ML & LLM Innovation 

Architect and operationalize end-to-end ML pipelines—from data wrangling and feature engineering to model exploration and validation. Integrate state-of-the-art LLMs (OpenAI, Llama, Claude, Hugging Face) with RAG, vector search, MCP, and advanced prompt engineering to enable intelligent automation, NLP-driven insights, and cognitive capabilities.

• Data Intelligence & Engineering Strategy 

Design and optimize data fabrics using PostgreSQL, MongoDB (aggregation pipelines), ETL frameworks, vector databases, and graph databases, ensuring real-time analytics, high availability, and enterprise-grade security.

DevOps & MLOps Excellence 

Establish CI/CT/CD pipelines with Jenkins, AWS, Azure, and modern toolchains to automate model deployment, monitoring, and retraining, enabling continuous delivery of AI-powered solutions.

• Intelligent Automation & Quality Engineering 

Develop AI-augmented testing frameworks (Playwright, Robot Framework, custom ML-driven QA) to achieve maximum coverage with minimal execution time, ensuring frictionless, production-grade releases.

• Scalable, Resilient & Secure Systems 

Engineer self-healing, fault-tolerant architectures with zero-trust security models, leveraging distributed system design patterns to guarantee performance at scale under dynamic workloads.

• Cross-Functional AI Collaboration 

Partner with data scientists, ML engineers, product managers, and DevOps/SRE teams to deliver AI-infused solutions aligned with strategic business outcomes.

• Technical Leadership in AI/ML 

Mentor engineering teams in AI-first design principles, ML best practices, and responsible AI development, fostering a culture of innovation, craftsmanship, and continuous learning.

• Research & Frontier Innovation 

Stay ahead of the curve by exploring emerging paradigms in generative AI, multimodal models, cloud-native ML, and distributed intelligence, driving competitive differentiation and industry disruption.

Technical Expertise:

1. AI-Native Full-Stack Engineering: Proven hands-on expertise in Java (Spring Boot: REST APIs, microservices) and/Or Python (FastAPI, PySpark, LangChain) as a backend API tech stack for building intelligent, scalable platforms.
2. Cutting-Edge AI/ML & LLM Integration: AI/ML & Next-Gen Platform Expertise: Experience  across LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, Meta LLaMA, Hugging Face), autonomous agent frameworks (LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen), multimodal AI (GPT-4.1, Gemini Ultra, Stable Diffusion XL, Runway Gen-3), and vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus, Qdrant). Skilled in RAG/CAG architectures, MCP servers, DSPy prompt optimization, semantic search, and MLOps stacks (Kubeflow, MLflow, Weights & Biases) to deliver scalable, intelligent, and production-grade AI solutions.
3. Cloud-Native & Hybrid Architecture: Skilled in architecting API-first, microservices ecosystems across AWS, Azure, and GCP, with expertise in hybrid cloud deployments and distributed, event-driven systems.
4. Telco Sales Capabilities and CPQ - Proven Experience of working on one more Telco CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) platforms building scalable pricing engines, product catalogs, and automated quote-to-order workflows
5. Digital Transformation Leadership: Track record of modernizing legacy monoliths into cloud-native microservices, driving enterprise-scale digital transformation and enabling business agility preferably one one or more CPQ Transformation engagements.
6. Data Engineering & Intelligent Storage: Strong proficiency in relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and non-relational (MongoDB) databases, with expertise in aggregation pipelines, scalable data models, and high-performance storage strategies.
7. System Design & Algorithmic Excellence: Advanced knowledge of OOP principles, system design concepts, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns, applied to architect high-performance, fault-tolerant systems.
8. Technical Standards & Governance: Experienced in defining architectural blueprints, coding standards, and engineering best practices, ensuring consistency, reliability, and technical excellence across teams.
9. Domain-Specific Data Modeling: Specialized in designing scalable, intelligent data models for complex product catalogs, dynamic pricing engines, and customer configuration systems, enabling real-time personalization and analytics.

• Ability to coach and mentor new onboards and junior team members towards increasing team knowledge and cross-pollination /upskilling.
• Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including business owners

Must Have:

• Bachelor’s/master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 8+ years of hands-on design and development experience in a full stack environment, with at least 4 years of proven track record in building and scaling cloud-native, API-first microservices platforms.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Java/Python and associated frameworks, with deep proficiency in AI/ML/DL tech stacks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Hugging Face, ONNX, MLflow).
• Proven track record of working with Telco Sales Capabilities and CPQ platforms, building custom workflows, APIs, and integrations to support complex telecom product offerings.
• Experience in designing and deploying end-to-end ML pipelines including data ingestion, feature engineering, model training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring in production.
• Solid understanding of MLOps practices (CI/CD for ML, model versioning, automated retraining, monitoring drift) and integration with cloud platforms (Azure ML, AWS Sagemaker, GCP Vertex AI).
• Ability to architect and implement intelligent automation solutions leveraging ML/DL, NLP, and agentic workflows for solving complex, ambiguous business problems.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills to bridge technical depth with business outcomes.
• Proven ability to design cost-effective, scalable AI-driven engineering solutions that balance innovation with operational efficiency.

Good to Have: 

• Experience working in Agile, fast-paced environments with geo-distributed, multi-cultural teams across both FTE and partner ecosystems.
• Familiarity with collaboration and delivery tools like Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions.
• Knowledge of Agile Scrum and SAFe delivery methodologies, with experience in driving AI/ML initiatives within structured frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with data engineering /pipeline tools (Spark, Kafka, Airflow) and cloud-native data platforms for large-scale ML workloads.
• Understanding of ethical AI practices-responsible AI, bias mitigation, and responsible AI deployment in enterprise contexts.
