About the role

In collaboration with Sales, the Pre-Sales Solution Partner mission is to build strategic customer relations at all levels including executive level and significantly expand the Orange Business scope and portfolio of services with targeted customers and prospects. This mission includes key stakeholders relationships up to and including CxO, contributing to joint sales planning, sales and solution strategy definition, identification of potential opportunities, and deal qualification.

The Pre-Sales Solution Partner should act as the customer trusted advisor for their IT and communication needs and ensure that proposed solutions are effective for the customer. Through wide technology insight and customer industry awareness, the Pre-Sales Solution Partner guides and influences customers on selected Orange services.

The  Pre-Sales Solution Partner is responsible for continuously looking into digital technology evolution/opportunities with the ambition to increase and improve customer relationship and grow the (profitable) business and value of services delivered by Orange.

About you

Skills / Education / Experience Requirements

Possesses broad technical knowledge across multiple domains (Network, Security, Cloud, and Collaboration Infrastructure)

  • Ability to develop the level of credibility that positions Orange Business to collaborate on the construction of customer’s business cases
  • Ability to visualize, simplify and explain complex technical and business solutions
  • Ability to create and present conceptual designs and case studies
  • “On top of” current Digital trends
  • Ability to work at all levels and understand strategic business and ICT issues
  • Ability to recognize and assess customer’s key business drivers and challenges
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Business financial skills, e.g. understand business case concept (pricing, costing, risk provision etc.) and the impact of changing elements on NPV, payback term, margin etc. Ability to understand legal concepts
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Business market understanding e.g. mining industry, electronics and other verticals
  • IT best practice e.g. TOGAF, ITIL
  • Leadership skills, e.g. management of virtual international teams may be required
  • Fluent English is required

Education, Qualifications, And Certifications

  • Minimum BSc degree in telecommunications, electrical engineering, information technology and systems or other relevant field
  • Technical certification in related field (i.e. Cisco CCNP/CCIE and other relevant certifications)
  • IT Best practice certifications, e.g. TOGAF, ITIL

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years related work experience in customer facing organizations within the telecom or IT industry or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in pre-sales engineering within the telecom industry or equivalent
  • Experience in technology and/ or management consulting is a plus
  • Understanding and experience servicing New Zealand Multi-National Enterprises and Government is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record in creating and positioning solutions to customer needs
  • Industry-wide knowledge / market leadership in Services / Security / Cloud / Collaboration / Infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of M2M / IoT would be a optional benefit
  • Personal and professional credibility to challenge customer assumptions / internal responses.
