About the role

As GenAI Product Development, you will own the full product lifecycle  from ideation and market research through prototyping, backlog ownership, architecture collaboration, launch, and post-release optimization, ensuring the team ships fast, learns fast, and delivers AI products that create measurable business value. Lead the end-to-end definition, development, and industrialization of GenAI and AI Agent-driven products. This is a hands-on strategic role at the intersection of artificial intelligence, product strategy, and enterprise delivery.

 

 

About you

 

Product Vision & Strategy

  • Define and communicate a compelling, long-term AI product vision aligned to business goals and GenAI market trends.
  • Develop and maintain product roadmap prioritising GenAI, AI Agent, and LLM-powered capabilities.
  • Translate organisational strategy into actionable product OKRs, epics, and measurable outcomes.
  • Continuously monitor the competitive landscape — including OpenAI, Google DeepMind, Anthropic, Mistral, Meta AI — and identify differentiation opportunities.
  • Establish product-market fit hypotheses and validate them rapidly through prototypes and data-driven experiments.

 

Backlog & Delivery Management

  • Own the end-to-end product backlog — creation, grooming, prioritisation, and sprint-readiness across all Agile ceremonies.
  • Write high-quality user stories with clear acceptance criteria, Definition of Done, and testable outcomes.
  • Apply prioritisation frameworks (MoSCoW, WSJF, RICE, Kano) to align effort with business value and customer impact.
  • Drive sprint planning, review, and retrospective sessions; remove blockers to ensure the team achieves its velocity targets.
  • Maintain a healthy, visible backlog — at least 2 sprints groomed and estimated at all times.
  • Track and report delivery metrics (velocity, cycle time, escape rate) and continuously improve team throughput.

Stakeholder Management & Communication

  • Act as the primary point of contact between the AI COE Development team, business Owners, and Data AI leadership.
  • Conduct regular stakeholder reviews — including structured product demos, roadmap updates, and risk briefings.
  • Produce transparent, data-rich communication artefacts: roadmaps, release notes, dashboards, and executive summaries.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations proactively, escalating risks early and proposing mitigations before they impact delivery.
  • Build cross-functional alignment across Data Engineering, ML Engineering, Architecture, UX, QA, and Business teams.
  • Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions to elicit requirements from non-technical and technical stakeholders alike.

Prototyping & AI Solution Development

  • Lead rapid prototyping of AI solutions using cutting-edge frameworks — LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, LlamaIndex, HuggingFace.
  • Build proof-of-concepts for RAG systems, AI Agents, multi-modal applications, TTS/STT pipelines, and LLM fine-tuning workflows.
  • Collaborate with ML engineers and data scientists to evolve prototypes into production-grade solutions.
  • Conduct local LLM benchmarking studies to identify cost-effective alternatives to frontier models (Llama, Mistral, Phi, Gemma).
  • Design and validate prompt engineering strategies, evaluation frameworks (LLM-as-judge, RAGAS), and model selection criteria.
  • Contribute to a reusable AI component library that accelerates future product development across the organisation.

Product Industrialisation & Architecture Collaboration

  • Partner closely with the Solution Architecture team to define scalable, cloud-native technical designs for AI products.
  • Drive non-functional requirements — performance, security, compliance (GDPR, EU AI Act), observability, and reliability.
  • Support MLOps and DevOps teams in establishing CI/CD pipelines, model versioning, monitoring, and A/B testing infrastructure.
  • Participate in architecture review boards (ARB), contributing a product and business perspective to technical decisions.
  • Ensure smooth handover from prototype to engineering, including detailed technical documentation and runbooks.
  • Oversee integration testing, UAT planning, hypercare support, and post-launch performance review.

Team Leadership & Motivation

  • Set clear team goals tied to product OKRs; celebrate wins publicly and address under performance constructively.
  • Coach team members on product thinking, AI literacy, and Agile best practices.
  • Run effective, energised Agile ceremonies that maintain team momentum and commitment.
  • Foster innovation by allocating time for hackathons, and AI exploration activities.
