About the role

Job Title: Configuration, Asset & Delivery Manager

Job Overview

The Configuration, Asset & Delivery Manager is responsible for overseeing the configuration management process, change and the lifecycle of IT assets for all customers. This role ensures that all assets are accounted for, properly maintained, and utilized efficiently. The manager also ensures that configuration management practices are adhered to, maintaining the integrity and traceability of system configurations and assets.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Configuration Management
    • Develop and maintain configuration management processes and policies.
    • Ensure that all configuration items (CIs) are identified, tracked, and reported.
    • Maintain and update the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
    • Coordinate with various teams to manage changes and updates to CIs.
    • Conduct regular audits and reviews of configurations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  2. Asset Management
    • Oversee the acquisition, deployment, tracking, and disposal of IT assets.
    • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date asset inventory.
    • Develop and implement asset management policies and procedures.
    • Ensure assets are utilized efficiently and effectively to meet customer needs.
    • Manage vendor relationships and contracts related to IT assets.
  3. Documentation and Reporting
    • Generate reports on configuration and asset status, trends, and issues.
    • Document configuration management processes, procedures, and changes.
    • Maintain records of asset lifecycle events (e.g., procurement, deployment, maintenance, and disposal).
  4. Compliance and Governance
    • Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and policies.
    • Implement best practices for configuration and asset management.
    • Conduct training and awareness sessions for staff on configuration and asset management policies and procedures.
  5. Coordination and Collaboration
    • Facilitate communication and collaboration between teams to resolve issues and implement changes.
    • Lead CAB meetings
  6. Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement
    • Identify and resolve configuration and asset management issues.
    • Continuously improve configuration and asset management processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  7. Change Management Planning
  • Develop and implement change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and minimize resistance.
  • Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness, and identify key stakeholders.
  • Define success metrics and regularly monitor change progress.

    Stakeholder Engagement
  • Engage and manage stakeholder relationships to ensure support and buy-in for change initiatives.
  • Act as a liaison between project teams and stakeholders to facilitate smooth change processes.
  • Address and resolve resistance and issues related to change initiatives.
    Implementation and Monitoring
  • Oversee the implementation of change initiatives, ensuring they are executed according to plan.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of change initiatives and make necessary adjustments.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to employees during the transition period.
    Communication and Training
  • Create and deliver change management communications to various stakeholders.
  • Develop training programs and materials to ensure employees are adequately prepared for changes.
  • Organize and conduct training sessions, workshops, and seminars.
Qualifications
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
  • CCNA, CCNP
  • Proven experience in configuration and asset management roles.
  • Strong knowledge of configuration management principles and practices.
  • Experience with Configuration Management Database (CMDB) tools and ITSM tool, preferably ServiceNow
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
