About the role

 

The SME - Global Procurement Operations is responsible for overseeing outsourced procurement activities, ensuring operational excellence, managing User Acceptance Testing (UAT), handling critical escalations, and supporting process improvements. The role acts as a key point of contact for outsourced vendors and internal stakeholders, ensuring seamless execution of procurement processes and timely resolution of issues.

  • Manage day-to-day outsourced procurement operations, ensuring adherence to SLAs and quality standards.

 

  • Consistent delivery of procurement services meeting SLA targets and quality benchmarks.

 

  • Lead UAT testing for procurement systems and processes, coordinating with stakeholders and vendors.

 

  • Successful UAT completion with minimal defects, ensuring system readiness for deployment.

 

  • Handle critical escalations, providing prompt resolution and root cause analysis.

 

  • Rapid resolution of escalations with comprehensive root cause analysis and prevention plan.

 

  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to drive process improvements and automation initiatives.

 

  • Implementation of process enhancements that improve efficiency and reduce errors.

 

  • Support vendor performance management and compliance monitoring.

 

  • Maintained vendor performance within agreed KPIs and ensured compliance standards are met.

 

  • Assist in training and knowledge transfer related to procurement systems and processes.
  • Enhanced stakeholder competency and reduced system-related issues through effective training.

 

Dimensions

Extensive knowledge of global procurement and supply chain management practices is essential.

Proven experience in international vendor management within multicultural environments is required.

Deep understanding of the services industry and the strategic role of procurement and supply chain functions.

Strong interpretation, communication, and presentation skills to effectively engage with global stakeholders.

  • Experience in procurement, order management, logistics, and supply chain operations
  • Knowledge of the services industry and multi-sourcing integration environments

education, qualifications, and certifications

Master in Business Administration (Full Time) from reputed institute is must. Executive MBA from reputed institute is preferable. 

Bachelor of Engineering or Technology is preferred

Certification in Supply Chain from APICS or other recognized institute is preferable. 

Kaizan, JIT, Six Sigma will be an added advantage. 

 

Experience

3-5  years of experience in International Supply Chain, P2P cycle, Warehouse & logistics is must

Experience in Service Industry, Telecom, IT will be preferable

Experience in working with MNCs or GCCs will be an advantage

Strong on hands experience in Oracle Suites and techniques is preferable.
