Key Responsibilities :

• SD-WAN Technical Expertise — Serve as the solution expert for multi-vendor SD-WAN platforms including Silver Peak, Versa, VeloCloud, Fortigate, Meraki, and Citrix.
• Complex Design Interpretation — Understand and validate complex SD-WAN architectures, customer-specific requirements, and proposed solutions.
• End-to-End Implementation — Lead SD-WAN build activities across greenfield, brownfield, transformation, and organic growth deployments.
• HLD & LLD Development — Prepare and update High-Level Designs, Low-Level Designs, test plans, and technical documentation.
• Solution Optimization — Recommend improvements to SD-WAN design, features, routing policies, and deployment models.
• Project Delivery Leadership — Own all project activities including planning, execution, testing, migration, and HOTO (handover to operations).
• Vendor & Partner Coordination — Collaborate with OEMs, service providers, and partners to resolve technical issues and align on solution design.
• Training & Knowledge Transfer — Deliver training to L1/L2 teams and support operations managers in establishing service delivery processes.
• Escalation Management — Act as the first escalation point post-cutover for technical issues and stabilization.
• Technology Awareness — Stay updated with emerging SD-WAN, SASE, and WAN technologies, features, and best practices.
• Transport Technology Understanding — Work with diverse WAN transports including MPLS, DIA, Broadband, and LTE/5G.
• Lab & POC Execution — Use lab environments to recreate issues, validate configurations, and support customer demos/POCs.

 

 

Technical & Functional Skills & Qualifications :

• CCNP, CCIE - R&S Enterprise
• Experience with Cato SDWAN, SASE, ZTNA and cloud-integrated SD-WAN architectures.
• Familiarity with automation tools (Ansible, Python, APIs) for SD-WAN provisioning.
• Exposure to multi-cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with network security (firewalls, segmentation, identity-based access).
• Ability to manage customer workshops, demos, and technical deep-dives.

Education & Qualifications

• BE / B.tech. / B.Sc. in EXTC/ Computer Science / Information Technology/AI

Experience Required :

• SD-WAN Expertise — Total 15 + years of experience in connectivity domain. Along with atleast 3+ years of hands-on experience with at least 3 major SD-WAN platforms (Cato SDWAN, SASE, Silver Peak, Versa, VeloCloud, Fortigate, Meraki, Citrix).
• SD-WAN Implementation & Operations — Proven experience in end-to-end SD-WAN deployment, configuration, migration, and operational support for large enterprise customers.
• WAN Migration Projects — Mandatory background in executing complex customer WAN migrations, including brownfield transformations and greenfield builds.
• SDN & Security Technologies — Strong knowledge of ACLs, VPN templates, L2VPN, L3VPN, IPsec, GRE, OMP, BFD, DPC, DMPO, ZTP, PnP, and secure service chaining.
• Data Center Networking — Experience with VRF-Lite, BGP, VXLAN, FCoE, FabricPath, OTV, IS-IS, VPC, and multi-tenant data center architectures.
• Virtualization Platforms — Hands-on experience with VMware, Hyper-V, NSX-T, and integration with VMware NSX Data Center for SD-WAN and security overlays.
• Data Center Transformation — Experience in data center consolidation, migration, and transformation projects involving hybrid WAN and SDN technologies.
• Cloud Networking — Knowledge of AWS, Azure, and GCP networking, cloud gateways, routing, and orchestration frameworks.
• SDN & NFV Knowledge — Understanding of Software-Defined Networking and Network Function Virtualization, including virtual edge deployments and service chaining.
• Automation & Scripting — Experience with Python, Ansible, REST APIs, JSON, and Postman for automation, configuration, and integration tasks.
• Complex SDN Build Projects — Proven ability to design, build, and migrate complex SDN/SD-WAN infrastructures in multi-vendor environments.
• Advanced Troubleshooting — Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve complex WAN/LAN issues using packet analysis, lab replication, and vendor collaboration.
• Lab & POC Execution — Ability to recreate customer issues in lab environments, validate configurations, and support customer demos and POCs.
• Technical Leadership — Experience leading technical delivery, mentoring teams, and coordinating with vendors, service providers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Documentation Excellence — Ability to create HLDs, LLDs, test plans, migration runbooks, and operational documentation for SD-WAN solutions.
• Certifications — Preferred: SD-WAN vendor certifications. CCNP/CCIE, JNCIP/JNCIE, NSE, VCP-NV, or equivalent.
