Orange International Networks Infrastructures & Services (OINIS) has 1,400 employees worldwide and is present in 3 main areas of expertise: networks (terrestrial, satellite and submarine), information systems infrastructures and service platforms, and network security.
OINIS provides network capabilities and services to all Orange Group subsidiaries and to Orange Business (OB). Within OINIS, the International Networks teams manage the international voice and data networks to meet the B2B connectivity service needs of OB customers. In an ongoing transformation, OINIS will soon also be responsible for UCP (Unified Cloud Platform), an initiative gathering Cloud activities from several Divisions in Orange Group.
Within OINIS/Finance, which has a staff of around 25, a team of 7 employees in Bratislava, Slovakia is already responsible for financial control of all engineering, deployment and maintenance activities for Enterprise Data and Voice networks worldwide.
To manage the financial control of Unified Cloud Platform, we are recruiting controllers in Bratislava, Slovakia, who will be working alongside the existing team.
YOUR ROLE
In an international context, you will be the financial controller in charge of all activities linked to a few Product Units (the “basic bricks”) of Unified Cloud Platform. You will provide operational teams with all the elements and financial analyses necessary to manage their activity, and to facilitate decision-making, with a strong focus on cost optimization. You will challenge operational staff on projects related to their departments. Initially, the activity will also involve managing the transformation and ensuring that all is in place to properly manage the activity.
Your contacts will mainly be operational: Directors, Department Managers, Project Managers, Sourcing, Procurement, Orange Business Accounting, and OINIS Finance. You will also be in contact with the Controllers of internal partners to UCP in other Divisions (internal suppliers or customers), to work on performance, draw up business cases, and model the associated activities and costs, as well as handle the flows between divisions.
In summary, it is about being the preferred contact for operational teams who manage Unified Cloud Platform expenses and providing all the financial elements necessary for managing their activity and carrying out analyses that will facilitate decision-making.
ACTIVITIES
Business Modeling:
- Provide the necessary data and analyses to prepare business cases.
- Bring expertise to operational teams on business cases to validate assumptions, ensure consistency with known business elements (budget, weekly reports, etc.), and challenge them.
Budget & Forecasting:
- Support operational teams during budget process and provide insights to optimize costs and prioritize resources.
- Coordinate with Business Units to ensure cost trends align with business developments.
- Participate in preparing the budget documentation for OINIS Finance and Orange Wholesale central controlling.
Operational Reporting Activities:
- Analyze variances by incorporating qualitative business factors and highlight risks and opportunities.
- Assist in the monthly business review process for the entire scope to support informed decision-making by management.
- Monitor and analyze CapEx (approved/committed/received) to provide visibility on semi-annual outcomes.
Closing Activities:
- Manage provisions and accrued expenses related to purchases.
- Ensure developments are accurately reflected in financial statements.
Profitability analyses:
- Contribute to providing drivers for the costing model and analyzing profitability calculations.
- Validate results and propose improvements to better reflect activities within the costing model.
