About the role

Results-driven Pre-Sales Specialist with expertise in delivering end-to-end non-IT datacenter and infrastructure solutions tailored to customer business requirements. Skilled in gathering and analyzing client needs, developing technical and operational solution designs, preparing cost structures, delivery plans, and SLA frameworks, while ensuring compatibility with operational infrastructure. Experienced in handling large, complex, and turnkey opportunities, with full accountability for solution validation, technical architecture, and commercial feasibility. Strong customer-facing professional with proven ability to support account managers through presentations, negotiations, and strategic solution positioning, while coordinating internal teams and third-party vendors to ensure successful solution approval and contract closure.

  • Served as a core pre-sales team member responsible for opportunity qualification, RFP assessment, solution qualification analysis, and preparation of initial high-level cost estimates and solution models for datacenter and non-IT infrastructure projects.
  • Collaborated closely with customers to understand business objectives, operational requirements, uptime expectations, and technical criteria in order to develop tailored datacenter infrastructure solutions.
  • Designed and delivered end-to-end non-IT datacenter infrastructure solutions including electrical power systems, UPS, generators, cooling systems, precision air conditioning, structured cabling, grounding systems, fire suppression, BMS (Building Management System), EMS, and physical security integration.
  • Developed and reviewed Single Line Diagrams (SLD), infrastructure layouts, rack elevation concepts, power distribution architecture, and high-level MEP coordination designs aligned with customer and industry standards.
  • Led solution discussions and scope negotiations with customers, ensuring alignment on technical, operational, SLA, and commercial baselines throughout the pre-sales lifecycle.
  • Accountable for delivering optimized solutions utilizing internal capabilities, partners, and third-party vendors while ensuring compliance with customer requirements, Tier standards, and operational resiliency targets.
  • Directed cross-functional pre-sales activities by coordinating solution architects, MEP consultants, structured cabling specialists, OEMs, and subject matter experts across multiple infrastructure domains.
  • Managed solution validation processes including technical reviews, costing approvals, power and cooling capacity analysis, SLA compliance, risk identification, and mitigation planning in coordination with commercial teams.
  • Planned and facilitated key bid governance reviews including design-to-cost reviews, technical solution validation sessions, and post-contract handover meetings with delivery and project teams.
  • Prepared and consolidated technical solution proposals, high-level infrastructure designs, presentations, compliance matrices, and customer documentation in collaboration with bid management and account teams.
  • Supported commercial and contract negotiations by evaluating customer-requested changes and assessing their impact on technical scope, infrastructure capacity, delivery timelines, redundancy requirements, and financial performance.
  • Acted as the final escalation point for complex technical and operational issues related to power, cooling, cabling, BMS integration, and datacenter infrastructure design during the pre-sales phase.
  • Conducted customer presentations and technical workshops to effectively position and defend proposed datacenter infrastructure solutions from both engineering and operational perspectives.
  • Evaluated, selected, and managed technology partners and third-party vendors to ensure compatibility of infrastructure components, delivery capability, and alignment with overall customer requirements.
  • Maintained awareness of industry standards and emerging technologies related to datacenter facilities infrastructure, energy efficiency, cooling optimization, and resiliency solutions while monitoring competitor offerings.
  • Contributed to organizational knowledge management initiatives by sharing best practices and developing industry-leading datacenter and critical infrastructure solution frameworks.

About you

B.E./B.Tech./Graduate Degree 
Recognized certifications such as CDCP, ATD will be an added advantage 

  • Over 10+ years of experience in datacenter infrastructure design, technical support, and pre-sales solution development for critical facility environments and non-IT infrastructure projects.
  • Extensive expertise in designing and validating datacenter infrastructure solutions including electrical power systems, UPS, generators, cooling systems, precision air conditioning, structured cabling, BMS/EMS integration, fire suppression systems, and Single Line Diagrams (SLD).
  • Proven experience in validating Bill of Quantities (BoQ) submitted by partners and vendors to ensure technical accuracy, commercial compliance, and alignment with customer and project requirements.
  • Skilled in preparing detailed Scope of Work (SoW) documents for partners and subcontractors, including technical deliverables, SLA definitions, operational responsibilities, performance metrics, and penalty clauses.
  • Strong ownership of the complete bid lifecycle includes solution development, bid management, costing coordination, proposal preparation, technical presentations, and customer engagement activities.
Effective coordination with cross-functional teams including Sales, Delivery, Finance, 

  • Procurement, OEMs, and Product Management to ensure successful bid execution and solution alignment.
  • Demonstrated consultative selling approach with the ability to assess customer business needs, identify risks and gaps, and develop scalable and resilient datacenter infrastructure solutions.
  • Broad industry knowledge and market understanding in datacenter facilities, critical infrastructure, MEP systems, network infrastructure environments, and managed infrastructure services.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with the professional credibility to challenge customer assumptions, evaluate technical feasibility, and influence internal and external stakeholders toward optimized solutions.
