About the role

 

 

Role purpose

We are seeking an accomplished and visionary technology leader to head large-scale software engineering and business-critical platform operations in a global and multicultural environment. The role will drive strategic transformation, operational excellence, innovation, and delivery governance across mission-critical digital platforms and engineering portfolios. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in engineering leadership, software delivery, platform operations, AI-driven transformation, organizational scaling, and stakeholder management, with the ability to lead high-performing global teams and deliver measurable business outcomes

 

Key accountabilities

Strategic leadership and engineering management

  • Lead and scale large engineering organizations managing mission-critical digital platforms, applications, and cloud-based services.
  • Drive technology strategy, operational excellence, and engineering transformation aligned with business priorities and customer expectations.
  • Oversee the full software development lifecycle, including architecture, development, deployment, operations, and service reliability.
  • Collaborate with international stakeholders, innovation teams, and business units to deliver scalable and secure technology solutions.

Product development and operations

  • Manage technical delivery and operations of high-scale digital platforms serving millions of users, with strong focus on quality, scalability, security, and resilience.
  • Drive modernization and optimization across cloud infrastructure, applications, and engineering processes.
  • Enable innovation and acceleration of value-added services through emerging technologies and platform engineering practices.
  • Ensure strong governance across delivery execution, vendor management, risk mitigation, and operational performance.

  • Drive automation initiatives across software delivery, infrastructure operations, and support functions.

About you

Education, qualifications, and experience

Education / certifications

  • B.E., B.Tech., MCA, M.Sc. (Computer Science), or equivalent.

Experience

  • Over 20 years of experience across the IT spectrum, including at least 7 years in a senior role.
  • Exposure to IT market trends and evolving technologies.
  • Good understanding of software solutions and infrastructure / architecture fundamentals.
  • Experience managing large teams and multiple functional domains.
