About the role

Main Purpose
The Soft Skills Development Manager is an expert responsible for mapping, assessing, and developing employees’ behavioural and interpersonal skills across the organisation. This role is key to strengthening team cohesion, managerial effectiveness, and the organisation’s ability to adapt to business transformation. Through structured learning programmes, coaching support, and data-driven assessment, the role contributes to embedding a culture of continuous employee development aligned with strategic objectives.

4. Key Duties and Responsibilities
A. Competency Mapping and Framework

Define and continuously develop the organisation’s soft skills competency framework (emotional intelligence, communication, adaptability, leadership, etc.) by job family and level of responsibility.
Ensure alignment of the competency framework with strategic team and client priorities, workforce and skills planning, and organisational transformation initiatives.

B. Assessment and Diagnosis

Design and deploy assessment tools (psychometric assessments, structured interviews, 360° feedback) to identify employees’ strengths and development areas.
Analyse assessment results and formulate actionable development recommendations at individual, team, and organisational levels.

C. Learning Design and Training Delivery

Design and develop blended learning pathways (workshops, coaching, mentoring, e-learning, action learning groups) to strengthen cross-functional behavioural competencies.
Structure development pathways tailored to managers, team leaders, and employees, with a strong focus on practical application and measurable behavioural change.

D. Leadership and Management Development

Support managers in adopting a manager-as-coach approach: active listening, conflict management, constructive feedback, and team engagement.
Design and facilitate leadership development programmes in partnership with internal stakeholders and external providers.

E. Impact Measurement and Continuous Improvement

Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of soft skills programmes on performance, engagement, and talent retention (Kirkpatrick model and other relevant approaches).
Leverage data, learner feedback, and business outcomes to continuously improve learning solutions and programmes.

F. Collaboration and Governance

Work closely with HR Business Partners, operational managers, and Learning & Development (L&D) teams to ensure the sustainable integration of development and learning solutions into day-to-day practices.
Ensure standardisation, quality, and version control across all learning content, materials, tools, and assessment solutions.
Ensure the regular update and continuous improvement of knowledge platforms and Talent Empowerment Center (TEC) spaces, ensuring content remains relevant and accessible.
Provide ad hoc support in the design, structuring, and improvement of technical documentation, based on operational needs and identified priorities.
Act as back-up for the TEC Lead during absences, leave, or business travel, ensuring continuity of activities and follow-up of TEC priorities.
Lead the preparation, coordination, and distribution of the newsletter, ensuring the quality, consistency, and relevance of communications.
Own the Soft Skills onboarding journey for new employees, from initial integration through to the acquisition of the expected behavioural and communication fundamentals.
