About the role

Senior  Administrator - Cloud Ops is a position in IT Delivery Infrastructure Operations Support Division.

The candidate will be accountable for IT Delivery for the VMWare & Windows Technology being delivered with a set of applications, a shared platform, or an infrastructure-as-a-service.

 

The following are the responsibilities for the position:

 

  • L2 Incident Management & System Administration of Windows environment
  • Knowledge of Windows 2003/2008/2012 Servers (Must Have)
  • Server installation and configuration (Must Have)
  • Active Directory, DNS Management (OU/GPO/Forest and domain config and etc) (Must Have)
  • Hyper-V / VMware - Deployment and management of Hyper-V VMs  (Must Have)
  • Disk Administration: Compact Partitions & Shares, Disk Quotas, DFS  (Must Have)
  • Patch management and Virus Management  (Must Have)
  • Troubleshooting skills in OS & Hyper-V related issues (Must Have)
  • Experience in P2V & V2V migrations.
  • Hands-on knowledge of various RAID technologies (RAID 0+1, RAID 1, RAID 5, etc.) (Should have basic knowledge)
  • Knowledge of clustering (geo cluster, multinodes passive/active) (Should have basic knowledge)
  • BIOS upgrades and firmware upgrades.
  • Working Knowledge of File and Print servers
  • Knowledge of server management tools
  • Log monitoring/maintenance

 

About you

Candidate Skill Profile:

 

  • 6 years of Experience in Windows System Administration
  • Excellent Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal Skills.
  • The candidate should have worked in a SLA driven environment.
  • Ability to work in a flexible, team-oriented, and constantly changing environment 
  • Good level of practical technical knowledge.
  • Experience in ITIL best practices for Incident management, change management, problem management, and configuration management.

Knowledge and abilities:

 

  • Ability to engage and partner with customer and internal staff as required. Ability to work in a virtual team environment.
  • Ability to identify problems and work to resolution as required. Should be a team player

Additional Information:

  • Good VMware knowledge; VMware certification preferred.
  • Good knowledge and hands-on experience of Windows server products; Microsoft Certification Preferred.
  • Knowledge of Server hardware & remote access tools required.
  • Ability to work in an operational model and rotational shifts.
  • Ability to work on critical incidents
  • Ability to handle major incidents and troubleshoot the same.
  • On-call support required - candidate to stand by outside of normal work hours to provide on-call support if needed.
  • ITIL Foundation.
